Well Cringe, why can't AMD pull up some of their technology schedules ... Like
the K6-2 450mhz, K6-3, K7 ... This is "not good", IMHO.

They must have dropped the 64K L1 because of speed issues, so your hypothesis is reasonable. Also, it appears Intel knows that they can't match the K7's speed with their 0.25u process.
