Just an observation. If you think the Dell earnings release is going to have an upward bias on the stock and your intent is to sell a straddle at a specific strike price, wouldn't you consider selling the puts first and the calls after the announcement?

The darn thing about online trading is that we are, for the most part, forced to "leg on" our straddles, one leg at a time. I haven't seen any on-line service that allows you to enter spread debit or credit prices.
