When I was in New Orleans, there was a photographer who captured that feel, outdoor scenes with a lot of color, like lawn chairs around a motel swimming pool at sunset, stuff like that. Everything hyperreal looking, very static, too, don't know how he did it. I think he was a lawyer, he used to say he just took pictures, but I think that was just being cool.
