I just helped a neophyte friend set up a WINTEL hand-me-down that he got from his brother. After all of the frustration that I had to go through in the process, he is convinced that an iMAC is the way to go.

I worked for Intel years ago and NEVER liked PCs or Windows - I always had MACs at home and at work. Maybe that is why I am not working there any more... Now I have PCs and MACs. The only people that I know who really LIKE PCs and Windows are those who either get paid to fix them or get perverse pleasure out of having to know more about computers than any human should need to know.

One thing that I did learn about Intel (and MSFT) is NEVER bet against them. I love the MAC, but can't handle owning AAPL stock. Sadly, I doubt that there is anything that AAPL could do to get any respect on the street.
