Gary, Just wondering, the supposed to be released 21264 is still not here and seems to be only around 575Mhz. Does that mean it has a worst architecture ? The 21264 has a much more complicated architecture than the 21164, and it shows up in lost clock speed. Given the insatiable demand for MHz in this industry, it does appear that the 21264 architecture is flawed. Architects at every CPU company seem to fall into the same trap over and over again. Supposedly the new Intel IA32 cores coming out next year have been architected specifically for MHz. Scumbria
