Actually I think you don't have to pay taxes if you exercise the options before they expire. Then the taxable event will be when you sell the shares. (I am not 100% sure of this; please correct me if you are certain otherwise).

Thanks for your post.

I just do not have the $ right now to purchase 100 or more dell shares for $ 8800 US.

I guess LEAPS are my best investment in those conditions right ?
