Ibexx,
Thanks for the sensitive insight into my plight. Actually, the great problem which my situation raises is how to continue my graduate education for at least another year so that I can continue trading options. I made far more this month, my first trading options, than I will in a month as an attorney. By the way, I read the same optioninvestor newsletter you do.
Regards to one universally recognized as the guru...

Stock Split Fact

On Wednesday 1/21/98 MSFT closed at 137.00. After the bell, they announced earnings.

On the following Monday 1/26/98 before the bell, Microsoft announced a 2 for 1 stock split. MSFT closed at 141.75.

Last close before the actual split on Friday, 2/20/98 at 155.13.
And of course, after the actual split 2/23/98, MSFT closed at 81.63.

Could happen tomorrow. Could be next week or in 2 weeks. Could be whenever they need to off-set some "planned for" bad news.

We'll see when, but it is imminent.

Mark
