SF I stop reading the boards abou a week before an IPO.

All you hear is this sort of analysis:

Well if MALL alone is worth $17.2238903809821
and then UBID hits a trajectory of $143 and you take the square root of the 14th mutiple of 72, then you obviously have an IMPLIED VALUE of MALL of $32!! Can't anyone get how simple it is!! NO WAY COULD IT GO TO $60!!!

Of course this theory is only valid if the IPO comes out when Venus is in the 4th quadrant and Clinton has his pants up.

On the other hand.. my own analysis is simple-- these IPO runs have about 5% to do with facts, and 95% emotion. One day DBCC is worth $45, 5 days later it is worth $21? Hmm ;)

Basically it comes to
supply and demand-- when do current owners get happy and sell?, when does greed take over?, how many shares are available? (supply), how many daytraders will jump on it (demand), how many gurus suddenly pick it as "their pick, YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! COME EAT SOME BURRITOS!" etc

And I still sold both MALL and DBCC too early (upper $40s and lower $30s respectively) .. but i didnt have to read 800 posts a day of flaming either *grin*
