Re: Dell Leverage Strategy

Tim,

Thanks for the response. In this example, it is only necessary to borrow 25% of the Dell value. No margin call would occur until Dell (or the margin account) were to decline about 70%. This seems remote, although it is admittedly a risk. However, by the same token, the Leap holder would be wiped out if Dell were to be below 100 at the expiration date.

Hi A- Well, (I never thought I'd say this but..) Amazon and Ebay came thru today....

Asia markets predominently up...Real nice moves in S.Korea, Phillipines....

Europe usually follows U.S. Will again tomorrow....

So, only 2 left to ruin tomorrow's party: Brazil and Compaq...

I think, though, we will see the Bovespa remain firm to up tomorrow...(after all, I can not believe that Brazil's currency, whose name escapes me at the moment, will continue to lose 10-15% a day, EVERY DAY .....relief rally (please)...should support the market down there tomorrow...

Compaq...Ah...will they make 11B in revs?...I say yes (barely) on a torrid 4Q hardware sales (and probably a little stuffing/aggressive factoring of recs)...41/42 EPS...pretty good...

So, in conclusion, the "Pele rally" is STILL in effect....Naz going up 40 tomorrow...Chuzz hates when I do this....but look, I get bored on the nightshift! <g>
