I installed and maintained Linkabit T1 encryption units back in the 80s, pretty crude by today's standards. We've come along ways!

I remember a poison pill being voted on, I think in 1992. Don't recall any connection to IPR. I think it had to do with a large cash dividend in the event of hostile attempt.
