Robert B, They are then Longs, this is positioning for a future rise in price.
Example: if you are a small company and say for example A.G. Edwards wants to come in and make a market in your company, it works the same, as a company grows. Each new MM comes in the same way unless they are able to get a large block of shares from the company.
