robbie: I mentioned a while back that I thought if they could beat Q4 '97 earnings without the channel stuffing, then that would "do it." Well, they beat them by .01 - coincidence?? I think not. I think they were being conservative - remember what rudedog said about them pushing orders into Q1. Think it's going to be a great year - I may even become a long time shareholder!

Jim Kelly may be your choice for "thread clown" , but I suspect JK has made more money on Dell in the last 3 years than all the CPQ participants on this thread in the last week combined.

Compaq is good,....Dell is just better
