Yep. 3 questions on DSL. Funny how a year ago management answered these questions with verbal equivalent of blank stare. Today, they tout 7.5mm homes passed w/DSL by EOY99 and 14mm by EOY00. Impression left was they can't do DSL quick enough.

I don't know whether to believe them or not.

P.S. Neal, great post. I disagree with one thing:

The problem here is the telephone companies don't understand infrastructure (the network) is worthless. The future is becoming content companies.

If a network is worthless, why are LU and CSCO where they are? IMO, in the future, all kinds of new content will come from literally millions of new "producers", i.e. the folks with brand new high-speed connections to the rest of the world. You're seeing it already in the big MP3 fight with the music companies. Watch out gatekeepers!
