Mohan,
I've already written it off. The analysis was that CPQ could NOT meet the numbers because of it's cost structure. Jim said he thought CPQ would meet revenue and unit projections. Will the IDC numbers shed much light on the cost side of things for CPQ? I'm waiting for Jim's next 'detective' update where he digs into CPQ's numbers and finds out how they pulled off this bit of accounting trickery.

Regards,
John

PS - By the way, where is Jim???

Mohan,

It looks like CPQ did reduce their operating costs to 18% although some of that number is due to restatements of writedowns. We knew that they would be able to get this number down in time but did not expect that it would be done in 1 quarter.

See Browns's post for the bad news.

Regards,

Jim Kelley

these numbers can be "artificially" loaded (especially when cpq is involved); i personally wouldn't look for superior data. the market will probably read the numbers wrong nonetheless.
