If you don't decide, you put yourself at the mercy of those who will decide and you lose the opportunity to have any effect on the direction. I don't insist that this should be the only choice but it appears the Senate is splitting into only 2 partisan positions. We have no leaders who are willing to cross their fringe component and compromise for a resolution with a proportional penalty for the wrongdoings.
