Mohan,

Thank you very much fo the article!

It will be very interesting to watch how DELL fares in India. The market is just enormous. The concerns that I have after reading the article are:

1. Are there relaible shipping models available? How is the FedEx presence in India? Should be OK in the big cities but what about the suburbs (which were one of the strongest growing markets for mobile communications)?

2. Corporate accounts: Are they ready to break out of the old model (that nobody gets fired for buying IBM regardless of performance/cost ratios)?

3. Household accounts: Do consumers have enough knowledge to order and assemble a PC? How much hand-holding will they need?

4. Internet access cost has to come down in India. Right now 100 hours costs about INR 10000 ($250). This has to decrease by a factor of 10 before Web surfing becomes a household phenomenon boosting e-commerce and PC usage for e-commerce.

Let's see how it goes. Should be fun!
