CB, Roger Babson was seen as a foreverbear in the late 20's. The bust is the unavoidable outcome of the excesses( malinvestments & maladjustments) created during the boom. You will be telling your grandkids that Mike & Will was the forever bear who quoted " the bigger the boom the bigger the bust". specualtive bubbles always end in disaster. The timing of the tough love in difficult because of mania mentality and a Fed bent on maintaining the bubble. The excesses are far too great for a soft deflation of the bubble and the damage will be severe. Mike
