Totally uneducated here, but I agree with you 100%. The manipulation of share prices is obvious to even the least cynical of us here.
I have stopped trading this and sincerely hope to triple my $ from here.

absolutely....thats why I never sellAOL.will ride the waves up and down...hopefully buying a little on the dips. too many damn times I have been in a big winner and pulled out after a 100% gain....only to see it do 500 - 1000% in a year ( yahoo, ebay etc...). This time, I will not sell. I will ride AOL for the next 5 - 10 years and see where I am at that point. Who know's.....maybe my measly 500 shares will be worth 10 million bucks in 5 years or so...least of all, if it doesn't soar to mars, it will at least soar to the moon and make a nice tidy profit.

You state, It is possible that the last 3 weeks were Institutional players out there selling the stock to discourage/tire the little guy.

Yeah, them there insitutional guys is out to get us. Huh?
