Lee, you said Thanks very much for your reply. Using stock margin is a whole new way to think about this and it helps to know of others' experiences. Have done ok without margin so far so will think about it awhile before making any decisions.

Daiju Kohno gave an excellent reply to what I wrote (https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=7511431), giving the opposite side end of the spectrum. You have to follow your level of comfort and you have to match your investing style to where you are relative to your financial goals and your age. I have to admit that Dell has been one of the safest stocks to play with any investing style at all over the past few years (as long as you play it!).
