I Hate to sound downbeat, but this is what I got from the conference call

1- They had a great Q4, even though GM dropped
2- Q1 is very difficult to predict. Company itself said is uncertain of the outcome. Analyst hate uncertainty.

3- GM for Q1 will be the same as Q4 at best
4- No design win for V3 yet. would know in about 2-3 weeks (will not announce them either way). But strong interest.

Q2 will be no banshee to speak of, some V2, and the rest V3 through STB. There is still a lot of uncertainty on the numbers that actually convert to V3.

I believe the 2nd half would be strong, but first half has a lot of uncertainty. So they are cashing out, till it is more clear and better visibilty.

For those of us with long term horizon, this will pass, but analyst are not a long term investors. they rather put their money in BRCM

Pat,

I'm waiting until the S-4 comes out before I do any real modeling. A quick way would be to run STB numbers @ $150 million in sales and then add 3dfx's numbers to it.
