Relevent Post from Yahoo:SEV thread

Thought this post was interesting with respect to HEC. Author was "Oilperson," who has left informed posts on HEC in the past...

"Insofar as SEV is concerned, the Harken #1 Islero is extremely
good news in that over 90' of pay was seen in the well located
some 5+/- miles south of SEV's block. This news virtually assures SEV that their block is productive from north to south,
or approx. 20 miles. Obviously, there were lithological changes
from Islero #1 to what SEV has seen in their most southerly well,
the El Segundo #6E, but we are still talking 10+/- miles here.
Conspicuous in its absence was a comment in the HEC release as
to whether the Islero encountered "fracturing" in the Cimarrona.
Oilperson's field operatives indicated that the Islero #1 saw
NORMAL pressure in the Cimarrona, and that the well flowed both oil and gas while drilling underbalanced in zone. It was not until HEC weighted up their mud to drill thru the section that problems arose. Note that HEC comments on possible formation damage? We are not given enuff info in the news release to determine the extent of damage, the amt. of mud lost in the hole, etc. Unlike SEV's wells, the Islero #1 did not see a sand package at the Cimarrona bottom, meaning it was either faulted out or eroded off. HEC has mucho work left ahead of them to turn Islero into a producer. Bottom line, though, is that the southern limits of the now massive Emerald Mountain Field have not yet been established."
