Last word on the IPR in a hostile takeover issue: Not that it is needed after Gregg's post, but it looks like I was passing along the high tech equivalent of an urban legend. I called Investor Relations today to get the scoop straight from the company, and she said (after she was done laughing)unequivacally that it was untrue. She did say that Qualcomm had an extremely strong "poinson pill" that would strongly discourage a non-friendly takeover attempt. She also said "in this business, hostile attempts are seldom successful. Most of the company's assets are in the brain trust, and they are always free to leave."
