Greg,
Thanks. That makes me feel better. I've been burned big a few times when companies I owned issued convertible bonds and the buyers arbitraged their positions by shorting the stock. The shorting seems to take place soon after the bonds are issued. Someone on one of the threads of an affected stock posted an article explaining why the buyers of these bonds often short the stock. It was a compelling enough explanation that I now consider such an announcement as an immediate sell signal. My own experience in the school of hard knocks should have taught me this but I wasn't sophisticated enough in high finance to understand what was happening.

This seems like an excellent board. I like owning stocks that have well informed and well behaved SI boards. They are an invaluable resource. All of my best gains last year were in great part a result of information gained from SI posters.
