Great story, ....unfortunately, true. Good advice is hard to find, this is why I only invest with West Point Grads.... In the interest of disclosure, I have to say that I am one, but I haven't come across a dishonest one yet.(they exist, I suspect) A prominent Denver Player has a grad watching his money, along with some other NFL players.....

Bottom line, just because someone has a big name behind him doesn't mean that the firm has done the DD on the guy. Why am I a bull on W.P. grads? Because they go four years in school where a single lie will get them thrown out. ( not a bad track record to start with.)

I don't want to imply that the ethics of any other school are any less, nor do I want to get into an argument over colleges, but with a motto like Duty, Honor, Country, they're off to a good start.

My Brother is a N.D. grad, and in the business,(got his CFA in three years) but won't watch my money because we're family.

I've never heard my broker ever utter the words 14%.... He just won't promise those kind or returns year in and year out. (I've done much better than that, but he just keeps reigning me in when I start down that road.)

Good luck to all, and may you never find a dishonest broker....
