Daikatana Deathmatch Demo for North America

Jeff Groteboer, the localisation director at ION Storm, has sent word that the
February Daikatana deathmatch demo is for North American audiences.
Groteboer says it will not support European font characters or keyboards.
ION is planning European deathmatches for later this Spring, so fans should
keep checking the ION web site for news.

>> Brendan, thanks. Very interesting stuff. Are these figures available on the web or are you a subscriber?

This detail requires being a subscriber. General top 10 / top 20 is available free from the www.pcdata.com website.

>> On the console side (TRSTS), I see that TR III is right behind NWO/Revenge, which I estimate sold 500,000-600,000.

In November, TR3 was the top selling PSX game (falling to #2 in December). Overall, it was #3 and #5 respectively (N64 titles selling more). I don't have detail reports for console games though.

>> As for TR and the Mac, I have a feeling that PC Data doesn't cover much mail order. In fact, I have a feeling they don't cover Mac-only stores either. A huge portion of the Mac sales come from these two sources.

PC Data covers a lot of mail order in its mix, but I don't know if that percentage is high or low. They may not get many Mac-only stores, although they do cover Mac Connection, MacMall, MacWarehouse, and MacZone. The complete list of retailers (stores and mail) consists of 48 companies, representing an estimated 80% of the retail market. The complete list can be found on their site / about our reports / software reports / retail report.

Marc,

I gather we are very close to the earnings report. When can we expect to see it? EIDSY showing good strength - but on very slim volume. Hope volume picks as we cross the $20.00 barrier.
