I noticed that accounts receivable are considerably higher this year compared to last March.

Does anybody know what effect this will have on the next quarter's report? Could accounts receivable be reduced by merchants returning unsold merchandise or receiving credits for mark downs necessary to get merchandise to sell?

I think someone said there were new accounting rules that prohibited companies from recording sales in accounts receivable for ordered but undelivered merchandise.

Hopefully, most of 3DO's accounts receivables reflect deliveries of BattleTanx (delivered after Christmas) and not other merchandise that did not sell at Christmas.
