<3DNow bridged the clock-for-clock performance gap between K6 and PII cores on most popular games.>

Then what benefit will 3DNow provide for the K7, considering that the K7 will have three separate FPU execution units?

Kevin - Re: " 3DNow bridged the clock-for-clock performance gap between K6 and PII cores on most popular games. It's implementation was cheaper in terms of silicon real estate than pipelining the FPU. Mission accomplished.

Translation - NO 3DNOW killer apps.

In fact, except for a few games, there are NO 3DNOW applications whatsoever !

Mission demolished.
