good questions but i can only give educated guess. sec has tighted accounting rules in last few years. most likely can't recognize revenue when sold; perhaps not even when shipped; more likely, when accepted as to specs, testing etc. but once you estsablish the pipeline those issues should tend to even out. so i would generally accept the statement that more in the pipeline means more revenues in the next q.

Tom,

Most importantly keep an eye on "design wins", which were very strong in the latest quarter. These eventually result in revenue, but the timing depends on several factors including type of product, build-out schedule of client, fab availability, complexity of product, anticipated volume, etc.

As long as design wins increase, the future should be positive.
