WCTI IN THE NEWS!!!!! WOW! Before its launched other companies are already looking to get on board!

medcareonline.com, inc. formed as wholly-owned Internet subsidiary

OAK BROOK, IL, Jan. 27 /CNW-PRN/ - MedCare Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ Small Cap: MCAR) today announced the formation of its wholly-owned Internet subsidiary, medcareonline.com, inc., through which the Company's Internet business will be conducted, including the Company's recently launched healthcare specific portal, www.medcareonline.com. Unlike traditional portals that provide broad based access to general internet information, www.medcareonline.com offers wide ranging direct-to-consumer health specific information, such as health travel advisory, health news, symposiums, medical journals and publications, and extensive research and web-based services for some 750,000 US physicians.

Additionally, by accessing its already existing national network of doctors, which includes leading urology and gynecology physician specialists, the Company plans to make available specific women's and men's health related information that most individuals are often too embarrassed to discuss. For example, an estimated 40% of the 25 million urinary incontinence sufferers never seek advice from their physician. Other such conditions include sexual dysfunction, infertility, addictions, obesity, chronic constipation, and psychological disorders such as depression. Many people with these conditions may also be potential candidates for the Company's core business, the MedCare Program.

By using established search engines, such as Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO) and new search engines, such as those being developed by such companies as WorldCruncher (OTC BB: WCTI) and ImaginOn Inc. (NASDAQ: IMON), millions of Internet users will be able to discretely and anonymously access MedCare's healthcare website for information. With expanding bandwidth and better streaming and compression technologies from such companies as RealNetworks (NASDAQ: RNWK) and View Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: VYST), online users will also benefit from the eventual audio/video availability of healthcare content on www.medcareonline.com.

ABOUT MEDCARE

MedCare Technologies, Inc. is the developer of The MedCare Program, a non-drug, non-surgical system for the care and treatment of patients suffering from urinary incontinence. Affecting some 25 million Americans, UI is a $26 billion market and is now more prevalent than even diabetes. Unlike traditional treatment options, which are costly and often unsuccessful or inadequate, MedCare's treatment program is completely risk free and has a proven national success rate in excess of 85%. In association with leading physicians, MedCare has the largest network of offices treating UI. Additionally, MedCare Technologies has also developed www.medcareonline.com as a comprehensive healthcare portal offering meaningful, relevant and quality medical information.
