Gary -- re: Grandma. Take good care of her. Every situations is different, but you said you were buying today to lower your cost basis, so I assume your cost basis must be higher than the market, and then the stock dropped at the end of the day, which would mean you are chasing the stock down.

Hey, if it was your money I would think why not, easy come, easy go. What I think I hear you saying is -- "I already made a ton of money for Grandma, and if a little is lost then so what?" Fair enough if that is the case.

I have owned stock since I was five yrs. old, and I love to see people make money -- including you. I am just saying you may be playing the fool into a downtrend, and doing it with somebody elses money. That would be a bad combination of greed, poor judgement and playing with Grandma's bank account.
