[which orctf modem? etc] hi jay, thanks for posting the detail of your adsl installation... remember some time back you had mentioned that you were looking into it... i follow orctf/adsl pretty closely and am interested in the details.. am wondering if you got the "old" or the "new" modem.. the old one is box shaped... with text etc on the vertical front face with no mention of fujitsu... the new one has a molded plastic case, with text etc on "top" with two brands : "fujitsu" and "dsl by orckit" .. if you were to answer on the orctf thread: Subject 5001 there are many there who would be interested in a real live user... (or something like that) ... ;) ... btw in our household , "we" have a cable modem which lives in the kid's room... great stuff... does seem backbone constrained... and as people are signing up maybe speeds are slowing down a little, but in any case it's great... thanks s
