Not to be a jerk... but it looks like this has become a "day trader" thread... pretty boaring now. Too bad, just a waste of time scrolling thru here these days.

<<Tokyo mex says there will be a FDA approval this week.>>
>> It looks like whoever was buying near the close today agrees.<<

Yes, Tokyo's followers (and those who use him for a contrary indicator)
place tons of faith in his tips.

This is the ultimate analyst "buy rec"  --  Tokyo Mex initiates Ligand as a Buy!
Such a deal.

Judging by your upbeat advertising of Tokyo's prediction on several threads, you seem to think that this sort of publicity is Good News for Ligand, Henry.
I respectfully, emphatically disagree.
---------------------

WE've all known (and the Street has known) since before last December (or was that July?) that FDA approvals were "imminent."  But now, we'd better hope that the FDA produces PRONTO.

With all these traders expecting our news THIS week (today's Friday!), if Ligand "disappoints" and "imminent" slides again, the results could be brutal.  (But then will the cascade from the traders' sell stops be "scooped up" by some friendly MM, to provide a low-ball 'buy' for his motivated big boy favorite customer?)
---------------------

Every single time (since fall 1996) that I've seen Ligand move up on no news  -- but rather on advertised expectations of near-term gratification --  the stock has soon been punished.

I know you're strictly a long, Henry, but selling a portion into the pump, buying back after Tokyo's flock leaves, might be a logical strategy.

Just my opinion ...
