Smoothie, what she means is she can buy say $2000 worth of stock WITHOUT having the money in her account. That leaves her 3 days to get the money to the brokerage for settlement dats

Lord Smooth, I could do any legal trade such as buying 1000 DELL or selling short 1000 DELL (although I'd have to call to get them to allow the short) or selling 1000 DELL that I actually have in my safe deposit box. What would be an abuse is to mark the transaction a sell to close when it's actually a sell to open.

Barb
