Tim, that wouldn't surprise me one bit either. I just get a bit twitchy when I find that my portfolio is up over 15% from the beginning of the year. On an annualized basis that works out to 515%. Clearly, those numbers are unsustainable. When will it end?

So I get nervous and twitchy. That's unusual for me because I'm a buy and hold investor.

Tim, after seeing so many companies authorizing splits, I believe the reason is to assure the investment community that profits are looking to be good going forward and that the companies are confident in their business models.
I have to agree with you that the most likely thing for Dell to do now given that they do have a great earnings quarter is to also announce a 2 for 1 stock split.
