MG, Always enjoy the charts!

At the close of 12/90 BLS was at $13.69 and at the close of 12/94 it was at $13.60. 1995 was a great year and it closed at $21.75. At the close of 8/97, it was at $22. Then, whosh a double in a less than a year and a half.

Observations: 1) Trend analysis is difficult on a stock such as this; 2) Buy & Hold can be like watching the grass grow for long periods of time; and 3) It tends to be a very defensive stock. I believe you can make money in the trading range and on the breakout. We'll see!

I probably read about every Civil War book written in my youth. JEB was actually one of my heroes growing up. There is actually a monument to one of my ancestors on top of Little Round Top. At the cost of his life, he probably helped save the day for the North. I have always believed that if Lee had his "eyes" (JEB), he probably would not have chosen to duke it out.

I chose to stay in my base camp today. As the stragglers hit their targets, I just inventoried the supplies. As I noted, I'm learning to be more patient. I want to see BLS hold this line of defense, and then I will redeploy the troops. I also like the chart of ALL, but I want to see their earnings come out to know that the bad news is built into the price.
