Exodus Announces Two-For-One Stock Split

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 27, 1999--Exodus
Communications(TM), Inc. (NASDAQ: EXDS), a leading provider of
Internet system and network management solutions for enterprises with
mission-critical Internet operations, today announced that its Board
of Directors has approved a two-for-one stock split, to be effected in
the form of a stock dividend. The split is subject to shareholder
approval of an increase in the company's authorized shares of common
stock to 100,000,000 shares. Such approval will be sought at the
company's Special Meeting of Stockholders to be held on March 18, 1999
(the record date for which will be January 27, 1999). Subject to
receiving such stockholder approval, the record date for the stock
split will be March 19, 1999, and thereafter, on or about April 12,
1999, the transfer agent will mail certificates representing one
additional share for each share held on this record date.
