Jack...Absolutely...I was just posting here on the AOL thread to a regular poster from the DELL thread, where I used put in quite a bit of time...Many times, over on the DELL thread I have seen shorters, daytraders, and market timers who have gone on that thread claiming to be ahead of the game by doing any one of those things....Many times I have seen the challenge put out by the DELL longs to name one person they knew, or if it was they themselves, who has made more money shorting, or market timing DELL over the last 6-7 years than a person who bought, held and rode out all the ups and downs out....Of course, as we know now, the people who just bought and held DELL have made literally millions----I have never, once, saw anyone post that they or anyone they knew or read about made more money shorting DELL or market timing DELL.

Buy a good company, like AOL, hold it and you will make more money in the long run than any other fancy maneuver will bring you.

BTW, welcome to the AOL board.

Regards, George
