AOL loses bid to force cable services to give access to competing companies. Predictable.

news.com

However, AOL has been striking deals with the baby Bells for ASDL. That has the potential to grow wideband access faster than cable does. It took about a year to get cable modems in the hands of 300,000 @home subscribers.

Great earnings for (AOL)!

I feel that AOL is poised for great strides in international growth and international acceptance.

I am interested in any views any here may have regarding AOL and it's potential in the backbone services arena as compared with (CKFR) a recent rec. by my SCG. Please send comments to me if you get a moment.

I expect that the (CKFR)'s and (CYCH)'s are going to have an explosive year to come, I am doing a bit of research in this area.

Was it just me or did the headline in the earnings release statement seem to understate growth, It said "Four-Fold" increase, to me that means 200% growth. 350% is more. what does four fold mean?
