Walt, the black bits in the Snap Lake boulders have never been described as wood or wood-like by the company, have they? We were talking about this on Saturday - #reply-7446244 - the release says they were 'coal-like' .... could they perhaps be diamonds decomposed by heat in the absence of oxygen, or carbonaceous material that had never made it to the diamond stage?

[edit] - ok, you did say this - "The WSP kimberlites have micro fossils in them which presumably came from near surface so maybe some wood got mixed in..."
- #reply-3216101

How did you hear about the micro fossils?

This Erosion Theory is a 'Theory of Convenience' plucked from the ether by someone who missed the train when it first left the station. I suggest that there is still time to board during this refueling stop! Absolute Nonsense! Try Children's Literature!
