Year 2000 Wire/ITT Cannon Selects Alydaar for Year 2000 Project

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 28, 1999--ITT Cannon has awarded
Alydaar Software Corporation (Nasdaq:ALYD - news) a Year 2000 contract.

The contract calls for Alydaar to remediate ITT Cannon's legacy system
code at its Charlotte, North Carolina, Year 2000 factory. Terms of the
contract are undisclosed.

ITT Cannon is part of ITT Industries (NYSE:IIN - news), a leading
worldwide diversified manufacturing company with 1997 sales of $8.8
billion.

''While it is clear that many across corporate America still refuse to
fully grasp the enormity of the Year 2000 problem,'' said Alydaar
Chairman and CEO Robert Gruder, ''I am encouraged by responsible
corporations like ITT Cannon which understand that the best protection
for their customers and shareholders are applications that work well
beyond the Year 2000.''

''In looking for a Year 2000 vendor, ITT Cannon needed a company with
the technical ability to work in various programming languages,'' said
Hack Hughes, ITT Cannon's International Director of Information
Technologies. ''Besides Alydaar's cross-language and cross-platform
capabilities, Alydaar's automated factory process reduces errors, and
gets code back into production faster.''
