Furby - news 'from the front'

This past weekend found me in the 'returns' line
at my local Walmart, returning a pair of slippers (very
comfortable but they fell apart in less than 2 months).
I overheard the lady in front of me ask the assistant
if/when they would have some Furbys for sale. The
assistant said that they had formed a waiting list of
people to be called but this was presently FULL. This
reminded me to check the situation at my local Target.
Here the story was 'no Furbys, no waiting list and no
date for next delivery'.

Also, here is a link I found on the Hasbro
board at Yahoo.

snap.com

Hasbro is spending money on future Furby
promotions and there are none in the stores to satisfy
present demand...Interesting. Very interesting.
