This looks positive if INPR goes down in the near term it will be due to the market conditions which are currently negative, probably for the remainder of this week. I consider this a buying opportunity at least.

TT,

I'm inclined to agree with you, but I must admit I don't have a clue as to how the stock will react this morning. I got up a little early this morning to listen to the Conference Call. Frankly, and while I'm never impressed by some of the evasive statements that Del and Kathy always seem to make (probably the same anywhere though), I felt pretty good about the call. It looks to me like Inprise has turned the corner, and I think things are looking good for the long haul. The markets reaction probably depends on how forward looking investors decide to be. If they concentrate on short term disappointments like the delay in the C++ product, then the stock will plummet. If they look at the likely positive affect on Q1 revenue, then the stock may rise. Hard to call.

Also, I tried to listen to the analysts' questions to gauge their opinion of the results and future. Some seemed fairly positive, but others didn't sound so happy. Probably neutral here.

All in all, I think I will give the company some more time before I bail.

JMHO,

Sam

Although not what we were hoping for, the result is not really bad for this company as we became very much used to. The enterprise business seems to be growing, indeed, and who knows with Borland.com. Recall Eggehead which was losing money and the stock languishing at 4 to 5. The stock took off and reached 40 after they added the com, to the name.

The story here seems to just need some little more patience.

Go INPR...

Ghassan.
