Re: Maverick Analytics & Capital Management (for Ed F.)

Ed,

I started in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I move in 1997 to White Plains,
NY to join a well-known advisory firm who "promised" $250 million
in funds for me to manage. However, when I arrived, they disclosed
that they only had $5 million under management...it was a scam,
which surprised me, since they are/were very well respected. What
I found was that they had been losing incredible amounts of money
for their clients, as well as misrepresenting their gains in their
advisory service (newsletter). I decided shortly after arriving
that I did not want to be associated with the company. Among other
things, they were involved in a linkage with an online trading
service in which they would tell people to day-trade aggressively
and often, and promote the online trading system...and collect a
portion of the commissions - basically a conflict of interest.
So, I moved to the D.C.-area and continued my own operation.

If you want specifics or want to talk stocks, you can e-mail me.

Take care,

Andie W. Lin
