Europe this morning is not phased by the US markets yesterday: all bourses unchanged, going sideways or slightly up: France up 2%.

CPQ down 3.66% on the Frankfurt Exchange adjusting to yesterday's drop on NYSE.

Technically, the DLJ re-rating from TOP PICK to BUY was a downgrade. But only of the most special kind. A TOP PICK is given not only to a BUY but to a BUY which is grossly undervalued relative to the market and to its future earnings. The adjustment to a plain BUY means that it is no longer grossly undervalued, now that it has moved from the mid 30's to the high 40's. But a BUY still means a BUY based on future earnings.
