Henry, Sorry for my lengthy turnaround in response, I can only
ascribe it to a type of stagefright occurring communicating with
one of the intellectual heavyweights of our time. <<VBG>>

I really enjoyed our market discussions when you were holding
down the Long-Dated Desk at Citi, late into the dinner hour in NY.....Selfishly Laboring and listening to the Foaming-at-the Mouth
Opinions of the Citi Australia crew...... non-stop ranting at
how OZ was going to fall into the Ocean and would vanish or at best
be placed on a tow-bar and back dragged to the conquering Japanese.

It was a classic deal of Being Bearish at the Bottom....
Hell you must have thought the Ozzies had written the script for permanent midnight.

Bill Sarubi got himself a good paying gig managing money for
the Govt' of Abu Dhabi in 1989, he had a 3 year contract, which was
renewed and he is still rolling last I heard..

I don't remember if you met Bob Colby, Arch Crawford, Mike Jenkins
amd Tom Wallace..I know we used to a have interesting get togethers.

Steve Hains (Citi) and Neuberger-Berman-- he introduced me to you...ended up spending a fair bit of time in NY.....his Investment bank had the most humorous dealing with Goldman Re the Debt Vs Equity of the Gutted Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel...remind me to tell you that deal...ho ho ho.....kind of like the old story of the country ant and the city grasshopper.

The NY Crowd was pretty wild.....

Working for AIG now?....throwing those nuclear derive's around.

Your a good man... I have more on Robert Anton Wilson for A Later
Date.

Very Best Regards,

John
