Here is Merck's intention as posted on the Vical Website.... 'Initiation of clinical trial for naked DNA HIV vaccine in collaboration with Merck' The clinical trial is a Phase I.... It was anticipated in 1998... Vical (the Company) can announce about anything positive & Vical (the Stock) does not respond. IMO, holding on to the belief that the start of a Phase I trial that has been posted on their Website (as anticipated) for months is going to move the stock price (up anyway) has never held water in the past 4 years. But go ahead & prove me wrong... bill
