From conference call:

They expect "the usual" 8 to 15 percent downturn in revenues for quarter 1 over quarter 4, with R&D expenses beginning to rise. So by inference earnings will be lower for 1st quarter.

Overall they worked hard to create the impression that Informix was back, problems behind it, customers no longer worried, progressing according to plan although the market remained very competitive.

Only disturbing thing I heard at the conf. call was the repeated, though muted, concern about y2k affecting 2nd half of year biz.
