You may be right on this; my graphics-designers friends prefer Adobe, pronounce Corel out of date.

IMO it's a bet on the growth of linux, aided by anti-microsoft feeling. I have not been encountering so many changeovers to MS Office and think Corel will do well against Applix et al. Anyway, I have money where my mouth is ;-), so I hope you're wrong, too.
