Yes, but that's history. We're rewriting history now, as we speak. History has never seen an internet, or an information explosion, or online trading, or as much money as there is: EVER.

History has seen the usual fear and greed, as recently as September, 98.

So are you talking about just a decline or a CRASH. You've mentioned the latter, so while I don't think a decline would be earth shattering before another move up, a CRASH connotes something far more ominous.

I maintain that a crash is cataclysmic event for a serious war, nuclear or biological terrorism, or a host of other things.

In fact, HISTORY would have dictated a crash for impeaching a president, but then....who would have guessed the minimal impact that's had on the market. Certainly not I.

I think we're being driven by different things now. Even our precious "ultimate" store of value, GOLD, is NOT showing a fearful hand.
