Talk is that Acorn are looking for a tax efficient (for the institutions) way to distribute their ARM stock to stockholders. I'd hang on to your Acorn 'til this happens, and then dump the rump.

Re - MIPS, just another IP chip house in the same game. Stock has done exceedingly well since it came on the market, but long term, I prefer ARM's prospects.
